AmeriCorps Position
Volunteer San Diego is currently recruiting for a AmeriCorps VISTA position to start
in December 2008. The position is

AmeriCorps VISTA – Referral Coordinator
VISTA member will help coordinate Volunteer San
Diego’s Volunteer Referral Program, ensuring its
continued growth and success, and assist in
coordination and provision of services to Volunteer
San Diego’s partner agencies, particularly those
serving low-income communities. VISTA member will
strengthen agencies across San Diego County by
helping them strategically increase their use of
volunteers. They will engage in outreach to agencies
with limited or no use of volunteers to carry out
their mission and help those organizations identify
how volunteers can expand the reach and
effectiveness of their programs. Position starts

SAVY Leaders Adult Advisor
Support our
SAVY Leaders, a group of
dynamic youth that come together to form a
youth leadership council! We are
looking for volunteers with two to ten hours
to give between October and April to advise
these youth in a task that you would like to
mentor them on. We are looking for
volunteers with experience in project
planning, outreach, marketing, connecting
with elected officials, fundraising, grant
writing, etc. If you would like to share
your talents and mentor the SAVY Leaders
when they need you the most, please email

Service Inclusion Volunteer
Help with outreach to individuals with disabilities,
assess the accessibility and inclusiveness of our
existing opportunities and partner organizations,
and much more.
Flex Team Leaders
Team Leaders are essential to the success of
Volunteer San Diego’s Flexible Volunteer Program.
Without Team Leaders, Flex would not exist.
Orientation Leaders lead Flex Orientations for new
volunteers at a variety of sites throughout the
County.
Office Volunteer
Here's your chance to gain experience in the
day-to-day running of a nonprofit volunteer
organization! This is a great opportunity to promote
volunteerism across San Diego County, work with a
fun crew of dedicated people and learn a lot. Assist
our enthusiastic staff with various office
projects: data entry, document assembly, special
events, marketing & publicity, and more. Some
projects can be completed from home.
Disaster Response Volunteer
Volunteer San Diego plays a crucial role in
recruiting and managing the volunteers who come
forward to help when a disaster strikes. We need
highly motivated, articulate and computer savvy
volunteers to help us manage the hundreds (and
sometimes thousands) of emails and phone calls we
receive in our facility during such times. Contact
