Wildfires 2007 Recovery

We appreciate your desire to help and thank you for that!

Members of the Regional Community Recovery Team (RCRT) are working hard to re-establish their communities through collaborative efforts with agencies countywide.  We are working closely with the RCRT to endure that its needs for volunteer time and talent will be met.

I want to volunteer:

Click here for a list of volunteer needs relating to the wildfires.

To receive e-mail announcements of wildfire volunteer opportunities, register with Volunteer San Diego. After registering, you will receive an automatic e-mail message with a link to activate your account. Once you have done so, you will be prompted to update your information in the Member Center. Follow the link to do so and indicate your skills and interests. Be sure to check the interest category "Disaster Prevention/Recovery/Relief."

Students, educators and families can visit our wildfires youth-friendly volunteer opps page for ideas of how young people can help out during San Diego's time of need.

I need volunteers:

If you have a volunteer need, we have volunteers waiting to be dispatched! Email Patricia Davis with "VOL OPS" in the subject line or call (858) 636-4168 and indicate you need volunteers. If emailing or leaving a phone message, leave your contact information along with your location, number of volunteers needed, and special skills (e.g. truck drivers, RNs, firefighters, etc.) desired.

Thank you for your support:

Volunteer San Diego’s Disaster Program is made possible by donations of time and money.

Volunteer San Diego engages in its recovery work with thanks for a grant made possible by the After-the-Fire Fund 2007, a fund of the San Diego Regional Disaster Fund, a supporting organization of The San Diego Foundation.
