DOVIA Council

About the Council

Directors Of Volunteers In Agencies (DOVIA) of San Diego County is a program of Volunteer San Diego. The goals of this program are to support local volunteer managers through continuing education and collaborative activities and to advance the field of volunteer management.

The DOVIA Council is made up of experienced volunteer managers who have volunteered to share their knowledge and skills to help support Volunteer San Diego's programs and mission.

With the Support of the Council, Volunteer San Diego:

Offers training and professional development

Shares resource information

Provides a forum for addressing issues concerning volunteers and volunteer programs

Advocates for the advancement of volunteerism

Encourages networking

Recognizes and supports volunteer administrators
