Typical Project Task Descriptions
If you feel you need

Our volunteers will be asked to perform a variety of
different tasks at places such as non-profits,
schools, community centers and parks. In general,
the tasks will be fairly simple, requiring little
skill or training. For example:
Painting Tasks
Volunteers MIGHT be asked to
utilize –
- paint brushes or rollers
- paint cups or buckets
- masking tape
- extension poles
- ladders
Volunteers MIGHT have to –
- reach above their heads
- stoop to the ground
- lift medium heavy objects
Gardening Tasks
Volunteers MIGHT be asked to utilize –
- rakes, hoes, shovels, brooms
- hand trowels, hand cultivators
- pruning shears, hedge trimmers
Volunteers MIGHT have to –
- reach above their heads
- stoop to the ground
- lift medium heavy objects
Interactive Tasks
Volunteers MIGHT be asked to utilize –
- scissors, glue, rulers, tape
- books, chalk, pencils and pens
Volunteers MIGHT have to –
- supervise children
- assist in explaining arts and crafts tasks
- participate in arts and crafts tasks
Cleaning Tasks
Volunteers MIGHT be asked to utilize –
- trash grabbers, trash bags
- cleaning products, sponges, rags
- brooms, mops, dust pans, buckets
Volunteers MIGHT have to –
- reach above their heads
- stoop to the ground
- lift medium heavy objects
