Volunteer San Diego coordinates several large-scale volunteer events throughout the year. By participating in these events, you have the opportunity to get things done by engaging teams of volunteers and have the chance to introduce new volunteers to your organization. We recruit the volunteers for your projects and can often provide recognition items, such as t-shirts, and grants to help pay for supplies.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January

National Youth Service Day – April

Hands on San Diego – September 16 – 24, 2006
The largest annual volunteer event in the county, HOSD brings thousands of volunteers together to complete hundreds of projects during this all-out community service blitz.

Holiday Guide to Volunteer Opportunities
The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year for Volunteer San Diego. Each November, we publish a ”Guide to Holiday Volunteer Opportunities” that is promoted to thousands of volunteers who are looking for a way to make a difference during the holidays.
