Annual Registration & Membership Benefits - definitions

Hands On San Diego:  Each September, thousands of volunteers participate in this all-out community service blitz! Over the course of a week, they will help to complete hundreds of service projects for a diverse group of organizations and the hundreds of thousands of San Diego County residents they serve.

Youth & Holiday Volunteer Guides: Each fall, Volunteer San Diego (VSD) releases an updated Youth Guide to Volunteer Opportunities highlighting organizations that recognize and value the contributions of youth volunteers. This guide is distributed through our website and  various school districts around the county. In November, VSD publishes a Holiday Volunteer Guide that is promoted to thousands of volunteers who are looking for a way to make a difference during the holidays.

Museum Passes: Each April, to coincide with National Volunteer Week, Volunteer San Diego partners with the City of San Diego to offer Museum Passes as a way to recognize and celebrate the efforts of your volunteers. The Museum Passes entitle your volunteers to a one-time complimentary visit to any or all of the 18 Balboa Park museums and attractions listed on the passes, any time during the month.

Corporate Volunteer Projects: Volunteer San Diego coordinates a number of customized, teambuilding volunteer projects for a wide range of corporate partners each year. VSD provides trained staff to help manage the large groups of volunteer to successfully complete these one-time projects. We can also often help with the procurement of necessary supplies.
