Board Connection,
developed through a partnership with
Nonprofit Management Solutions, is
designed to link San Diego nonprofits
seeking new board members to a diverse pool
of qualified and trained individuals. This
program challenges the outdated notion that
”any warm body will do” and raises
the bar for the entire sector by including a
training component as a requirement of all
participants.
Having completed training, candidates will
have a sound understanding of what the law
and the community expects and requires of
them as leadership volunteers. In the same
manner, organizations will be prepared to
leverage the time and energy of new and
existing board members in ways that carry
the greatest impact and potential for their
organizations.
