Volunteer San Diego was selected by Youth Service America as the Lead Agency for National & Global Youth Service Day 2007 in San Diego County! 

National & Global Youth Service Day (N&GYSD) is the largest service event in the world, engaging millions of young people ages 5-25!  It promotes public awareness and education, highlights the amazing contributions that young people make to their communities, and supports and encourages youth to begin on a life-long path of service and civic engagement. 

Volunteer San Diego will coordinate local and regional celebrations of N&GYSD during the entire week of April 16 - 22, 2007.  We promote a wide variety of projects and events, including an event planned entirely by our SAVY Leaders.
