Volunteer San Diego and the
Leaders are hosting our Annual Youth Leadership
Conference. At the
conference you will experience workshops
including; using your voice to make a
change in the community, advocating about issues
important to you, how to interview
successfully, how to create your own volunteer
opportunity, taking actions to better
yourself and your community, and 3 sessions by
SAVY Leaders - Fundraising for your projects, Event
Planning and getting the word out through Public
Relations.
Students currently attending 8th – 12th
grade are eligible to attend. Interested students
must apply and receive a letter of recommendation,
and then are subject to approval through a selection
committee.
Participating in the Volunteer San Diego Youth
Leadership Conference will challenge and expand your
skills as a leader and as an advocate of service in
San Diego. This informative and educational day
is made possible because of the Presenters,
Volunteer San Diego staff, San Diego City Schools (SDCS)
staff, generous use of space from University of San
Diego, and the time of dedicated volunteers.
Admission is
$15 including lunch and conference materials. The
first 100 San Diego City Schools students attend the
conference for FREE! Free attendance scholarships
are also available.
