Beckwourth Homework Helpers

Agency: San Diego Public Libraries

Description: Spend the evening helping students succeed in school...and in life! You'll be listening to school age students practice their reading skills and helping them to complete Math, English and other homework assignments while providing much needed positive encouragement. No previous tutoring experience necessary - you can help students with whichever subjects you're comfortable with! Minimum age to volunteer with or without an adult: 16 If you are signing up guests or a team, please limit the size of your group to 3 volunteers.

Their mission: To offer free mentoring and tutoring to San Diego's School children.
