| Servapalooza: Event Volunteers |
Agency: Volunteer San Diego
Description:
Volunteer San Diego, eXcel Youth Zone, and Kids for Peace are collaborating to create Servapalooza: A Service Festival and Parade of Wishes. This fun and festive event will celebrate Global Youth Service Day on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from Noon-4:00pm in San Diego's Balboa Park. Servapalooza is an opportunity for the youth of San Diego to participate in hands-on "Service Staions" where they will engage in meaningful service projects, a Parade of Wishes featuring banners created by a variety of youth organizations, a center stage with youth-inspired entertainment, a Peace Hero Award presented to a high-profile celebrity, a service obstacle course, food booths, vendors, and lots of fun!!
We need volunteers to help out on the day of the event to make Sevapalooza run smoothly. Volunteers will help Event Team Leaders with a variety of activities ranging from event set-up, welcoming, and directing visitors through the Service Stations, Parade Monitors, event clean-up and more.
