Location: North County Inland – Escondido, 92025

Description: Boyce is a child care center that needs sprucing. We need help painting the staff break room to make the staff feel warm and cozy, wood chips on the playground need tilling to bring back their buoyancy, and the small rod iron fence needs scraping and re-painting.

All this is needed to bring the center back to its bright self for the children enrolled in the program. Volunteers will make the center look great for the families, children and staff. Plus, volunteers will make the playground safe for the children.

Connection to Poverty in San Diego County: The center provides children care service for families with low income - for parents who really need to work to support their families. The service not only allows parents to focus on work but also brings more opportunities and wealth into the community. It is a "win-win" program that benefits the whole community.

Minimum Age: 13 with an adult, 18 without.

Volunteers Needed: 25

Supplies Needed: If you have a ladder or extra rollers, please email the Team Leader and let them know what you will be bringing. Feel free to bring some food to share with other volunteers that day since it is a full day project.

Additional Notes: You should wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we don't want the paint to ruin your nice jeans. Please wear closed toe shoes as plenty of walking and standing will be involved.
