October 4, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Location: East County – El Cajon, 92019
Description: We occupy a modular building in El Cajon. Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) needs to have the outside of the building power washed, painted and cleaned up. Our wheelchair ramp needs to be repaired and painted.
Connection to Poverty in San Diego County: The majority of our patients are employed but do not earn sufficient income to afford health care. We are a free clinic that treats patients from East County with no cost to the patients. Minimum Age: 12 with an adult; 18 without an adult
Volunteers Needed: 10-25
Supplies Needed: Volunteers may bring gloves, paint brushes and rags.
Additional Notes: You should wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or painted. No sandals or open toed shoes. We will be working outdoors so sunscreen and hats are encouraged. Be sure to hydrate upon arrival and throughout the event.
