Description: Join a team of dedicated volunteers at Casa de Amparo's Children's Shelter to help improve the residence of teen girls who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Help with painting, steam cleaning carpets, power washing windows, complete basic tile work in bathrooms, and more! Casa de Amparo's mission is to support those affected by and at risk of child abuse and neglect, through a range of programs and services that promote healing, growth and healthy relationships.
Connection to Poverty in San Diego County: Many of our Children's Shelter residents come from a family in poverty or are at-risk of poverty.
Minimum Age: 18
Volunteers Needed: 10
Supplies Needed: Volunteers may bring work gloves, paint brushes, paint and carpet cleaner.
This project is approved for volunteers with the following restrictions: Allow Pending Members
