| Family Law Lawyers Needed |
Agency: Jewish Family Service of San Diego
Description:
Project Sarah, a program of Jewish Family Service of San Diego which provides assistance and counseling to victims of domestic abuse, is seeking licensed family law lawyers in the state of California to assist with law clinics.
With this volunteer opportunity, lawyers will receive the opportunity to offer legal advice as is appropriate to clients on a personal, 1:1 basis, prepare legal documents, provide explanations of the legal system regarding family law matters including divorce, custody, and alimony, and provide assistance with filing temporary restraining orders.
This is a unique opportunity to help victims of domestic violence navigate the legal system, avoid re-victimization, and show them that there are people in the community who support their challenging plight to live freely from violence.
Clinics occur throughout the month and assistance is greatly needed. The clinics will be held at JFS Turk Family Center.
